Skiing in Schwarzenberg

Avalanche-safe and perfect snow conditions - the Bödele natural snow area

As early as the end of November, winter will have already made its way into the Bregenzerwald. That's a good thing, because on the Bödele, there are no snow canons or storage reservoirs. There is just natural snow here and tons of it. The Bödele ski area is a small but exquisite winter sports area. From blue ski runs to black ones and from moguls to deep snow slopes, this ski area at an elevation from 700-1464 m offers skiers, snowboarders, and carvers outstanding conditions.

10 lifts and 24 km of the best prepared slopes allow for ski runs in all difficulty levels. The longest one is the World Cup ski run to Schwarzenberg with a length of 4.5 km. It begins below the summit of the Hochälpele at an elevation of 1464 m and leads along red/blue slopes down into the village center of Schwarzenberg.

If you are in the mood for even more variety, there are 37 other ski areas nearby that you can use with one ski pass. The Mellau-Damüls area, newly opened in 2009 with 83.8 km of slopes, is reachable in only 10 min. by car.

Winter sports enthusiasts especially appreciate our central location, fast, easy accessibility, and the natural snow throughout the entire area. The charm of the nostalgic ski huts and the excellent service of our restaurants wonderfully top off a day in the powder snow.
